We had a great time. The gite is ideally situated for a relaxing time with lovely walks along the river Oise, or for visits to Paris and surrounding towns for the sights and shopping. We spent a day in Paris at the French Open Tennis, visited the Chateau at Chantilly, the Abbey at Royaumont, the Van Gogh House at Auvers, and went shopping in Saint Germain. Friends joined the local tennis club, fell in love with Chartres, its Cathedral, old quarter, and tourist train. Our week was over far too quickly & we are already planning our next trip.
